What is BeWip?
BeWip is a softphone (software phone) for mobile phones, which integrates in a single interface both VoIP and cellular telephony (GSM, CDMA, UMTS, etc.).
Why using BeWip?
BeWip allows using your mobile phone to communicate via cellular networks or VoIP.
This media offers two major benefits:
- calling or being called on your mobile phone at the same price as that of your landline;
- being reachable on your mobile phone using the same number as that of your home or office, without your interlocutor noticing.
What is the price of BeWip?
BeWip is available as free evaluation software until the end of the summer. The complete offer of BeWip software will be published at that time,
with extended features such as echo cancellation or new ring formats.
Why do I need a SIP provider?
Depending on the services proposed by your Interner provider, there is a possibility that you already own a SIP account. If this was not the case,
it would be necessary to subscribe one to be able to use BeWip and call at a cheaper price.
What is VoIP?
Voice over IP, sometimes called IP telephony or Internet telephony, is often abbreviated as VoIP. It is a technology which allows talking to a remote
interlocutor via the Internet, or any other network supporting the IP protocol.
To the contrary of landlines which depend on dedicated telephony equipments, voice over IP can be transferred over standard equipments, as soon as
they support the IP protocol.
What is a SIP service useful for?
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is the open standard for multimedia communications (sound, image, etc.). It is the most common among Internet access
providers.
The SIP service includes a users directory, records and present their availability, and connects correspondents.
